Seat Picker Plus+ does what the rail industry should have done years ago, combining perfect train seating plans with loads of unique information and data cleansing to put your customers in control of their journeys. Leading UX design

  • every coach is to the correct dimensions
  • seats, tables, luggage racks, toilets, buffets, cycle and wheelchair spaces all the correct sizes and in the correct positions
  • view of the whole train (with available seats in each coach) acts as an index to individual coaches
  • vertical view and horizontal view for both mobile and desktop optimal experience

Unique additional data

  • for every seat we have collected data that is not available at all via the rail industry’s endpoints
  • this includes whether there is a full, partial or no window view; the type of socket (3-pin / USB / USB-C) for each seat and whether it's shared or exclusive; what type of table the seat has; where the nearest luggage space is; whether the seat reclines; whether there's a window blind; a reading light; how far it is to the nearest toilet and whether that's accessible; and so on.
  • Other usual attributes like airline, facing, solo seat and so on are all included too

Cleansing of TOC seat data

  • Different TOCs have set up seat reservation data in different ways, leading to issues where apparently available seats cannot be booked
  • we’ve cleaned up the data so that availability / booking contradictions are minimised, leading to a better customer experience
